Southern California Leadership University was established to fulfill the spiritual needs of its students, so that they may promote the mental, spiritual, physical, and financial well-being of the communities in which they live. The name reflects the mission of the institution as the mission of SCLU is to welcome students of all Christian faiths and backgrounds to participate in receiving a quality, faith and values-based Christian education.
Since physical activity and movement are fundamental to leadership, human energy, growth, and development, SCLU exists to foster the growth of Christian learners through athletic skills, with the purpose of developing meaningful experiences for individuals through the instruction of the Christian ethic in leadership as it relates to ministry. In addition, Southern California Leadership University provides an excellent, biblically integrated academic education with athletics that prepares its graduates to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in professional occupations, using the Christian worldview as a tool to propagate discipleship and the Great Commission.
Southern California Leadership University is a private institution approved to operate by the Association of Christian Education and Accountability (ACEA). Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
